Maine Huts & Trails to be featured this week on MBPN's Maine Watch with Jennifer Rooks

Just a quick note here to our members and supporters to let you know that Maine Huts & Trails will be featured this week on MBPN's Maine Watch with Jennifer Rooks.  The show will air tomorrow (Thursday) night at 8 p.m.  The program will then rebroadcast on Friday at 12:30 p.m. on MPBN radio and 8:30pm on TV and again on TV on Sunday at 5:00pm.  So, gather your neighbors, friends and family around the TV tomorrow night and take the opportunity to share with them what you've helped create for Maine.

You'll see some great footage from Flagstaff Lake Hut, the Dead River, Grand Falls and the hut construction taking place right now on our third hut.  Additionally, you'll hear Executive Director, Dave Herring, talk about our progress and the plans for opening Grand Falls Hut....this fall!

"I just wanted to thank you and all of the MH&T staff for a wonderful couple of days. The weather was perfect, which helps, of course, but spending the better part of three days hiking in and around Poplar Stream Falls and Flagstaff Huts with seven of my family friends was worth the ache in my 60-year old hips. The trails were in remarkably good condition and we enjoyed every minute. We spend 99% of our time in Maine along the southern coast, and to experience the north woods and lakes in all their summer glory was truly special. Thanks, and we'll be back."
