While people come for the experience of spending time hiking the trails and the camaraderie of communal living in the huts, you cannot deny that one key feature of spending time at Maine Huts & Trails are all the activities to enjoy on and off the trail.
In the wintertime, Maine receives some of the most consistent and deepest snowfall in all of New England. Add some judicious grooming and you are left with what is perhaps some of the finest nordic skiing and snowshoeing around. When the weather turns warm, the dappled sunlight draws even the most retiring types out to soak in some golden rays. But don’t stop there! Grab a paddle and do some fishing or explore deeper and more exciting tracks aboard a mountain bike; later you can cool off with a refreshing swim. This is what being in Maine is all about.
