Trip itinerary / details:
- Day 1 – Meet at Round Barn site. Paddle six miles on Flagstaff Lake to Flagstaff Hut. Check in, enjoy a home-cooked dinner, relax & sleep.
- Day 2 – Enjoy a full breakfast, paddle 2 miles to Dam access road in NE corner of Flagstaff Lake. Shuttle boats and participants to the Dead River access on Dead River Rd. Paddle 6 miles down the river to the dock on the east bank near island above the old dam. Rack kayaks with lunch break. Then hike 2 miles to the Grand Falls Hut. Check in. Enjoy another home-cooked dinner, relax and sleep.
- Day 3 – Day off! Enjoy a full breakfast. Relax at the hut, lunch at the hut or picnik with your lunch, go fishing or swimming in the Dead River (Details on fishing, click here). Enjoy another home-cooked dinner followed by a bonfire. Sleep.
- Day 4 – Enjoy breakfast. Hike 2 miles back to the kayak rack above the falls. Paddle 6 miles to the Dead River access point. Lunch break. Then shuttle participants back to the parked cars at Round Barn.
