                          Pontoon boat cruises on Flagstaff Lake out of Stratton, Maine

Enjoy a summer weekend adventure of boating, paddling, swimming, hiking and relaxing at the remote Flagstaff Hut located on the shores of Flagstaff Lake. Your adventure begins Friday afternoon with a scenic pontoon boat ride across Flagstaff Lake to Maine Huts & Trail’s Flagstaff Hut. The route is actually a section of the Northern Canoe Trail. Along the way you will enjoy the scenic vistas of the magnificent Bigelow mountain range. You will learn the history of Flagstaff Lake and hear the tales about the lost village of Flagstaff which is below on the lake’s bottom. (Click here to learn more about the Flagstaff Lake area) Along the way, eagles, loons and other wildlife will entertain.  You will arrive at Flagstaff Hut just before dinner. Your package includes two dinners, two lunches, two breakfasts, two nights of lodging and your round trip boat cruise to Flagstaff Hut. Beer and wine are available at the hut for purchase during your stay. Flagstaff Hut is a well appointed lodge with a screened porch, comfortable beds, hot showers and a spacious dining room with fireplace to relax near. During your stay you can hike on our trails, relax on the hut’s dock, swim off the hut’s beach or use one of the huts canoes or kayaks to explore the shoreline. You will depart the hut via pontoon boat Sunday after lunch.

FRIDAY DINNER CRUISE
Cruise the length of Flagstaff Lake on a Friday afternoon to Flagstaff Hut for dinner. Return after dinner and enjoy the lake scenes and sunset on the way home. Boat departs from Stratton at 3:30 PM and departs Flagstaff Hut immediately after dinner, approximately 6:30 PM. Available from June 22nd until September 9th, 2012.
Cost – $75 per person       The Bigalow range towers over Flagstaff Lake.                                                                                     

SUNDAY LUNCH CRUISE
Cruise the length of Flagstaff Lake on a Sunday morning to Flagstaff Hut for lunch. Return after lunch and enjoy the lake scenes, birds and wildlife on the return voyage. Boat departs from Stratton at 10:00 AM and departs Flagstaff Hut after lunch, approximately 1:00 PM. Available from June 24th until September 9rd, 2012.
Cost – $55 per person
