During the winter months Maine Huts & Trails becomes the most unique touring and cross country ski center in the northeast. Maine Huts & Trails grooms 45 miles of cross country ski trails for both classic and skate skiing. There is never a trail fee. Snowshoers are welcome on the groomed trail, and can explore the ungroomed summer hiking trails around the huts. Skiers may want to pack in snowshoes for some adventure off of the groomed trail.

 

Whether you arrive on skis in or snowshoes, you will be welcomed by the smell of the wood stove and a hearty home cooked meal.
