- Flagstaff Lake Hut Grand Opening Celebration
Come join in the celebration
as we open the doors of our second hut! An Open House
(er, Hut) will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, January
17th, with the ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony at noon.
Attendees have three
options for getting to the hut for the event: 1) Most
Adventurous - park at the Gauge Rd. Trailhead in Carrabassett
Valley and ski or snowshoe 11.5 miles to Flagstaff Lake Hut;
2) Most Family-Oriented - Drive to the Long Falls Dam Rd. Trailhead
and ski or snowshoe 1.8 miles to the hut or 3) Most Convenient
- take a 9 or 10 a.m. shuttle from our Kingfield Office directly
to the hut site. Return trips will begin at 1 p.m.

40K and 20K point-to-point options on the Maine Huts and Trails
system from the Flagstaff Hut to the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.
