Maine Huts & Trails appoints new Director of Marketing and Communications

Kingfield, Maine – Maine Huts & Trails has announced that Conrad Klefos has been hired as the Director of Marketing and Communications.  “Conrad emerged from a very talented field of candidates as the right person with the right mix of skills and experience for the job and I'm confident that he will be a key player in MH&T achieving our long term goals” stated Executive Director, David Herring, in a recent announcement to the MH&T staff and Board of Directors.  

Klefos brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and contacts to his new role at MH&T.  He spent twenty years at Jay Peak in VT, culminating in the role of VP of Marketing. During his tenure at Jay, annual skier visits increased from 67,000 to 215,000.  Most recently, he served as the Director of Marketing and Sales for Saddleback Resort in Rangeley, where he helped increase skier visits by17% and annual revenue by 37% in a one year period.  Klefos and his wife Lisa live in Rangeley, where he is also on the Board of Directors of the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and is the Chair of their Marketing Committee.

Klefos will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that will result in significant increases in revenue across all categories for Maine Huts & Trails.   “I am very excited to be involved with Maine Huts & Trails” stated Conrad. “This is such an exciting time for MH&T as an organization and the timing could not be better to get involved with this great project.” concluded Klefos.

Maine Huts & Trails is in the process of building its third hut located near Grand Falls on the Dead River.
