Here's what we provide
for:
Day Visitors
- Lunch is available from 11:30 - 1:30 every day at the huts and
includes choice of soup, chili, baked goods, coffee, tea and hot
chocolate.
- Day-visitors to the hut will have access to the toilet facilities,
potable water and are welcome to enjoy some time relaxing and touring
the new hut. In addition to lunch, a few souvenirs are available
for purchase at the huts.
Overnight
Visitors
- Hearty dinner and delicious breakfast – menu varies each
day (a bag lunch is available for an additional fee)
- Bunk with a soft foam mattress
- Pillow (please supply your own pillowcase – hint: can double
as a stuff sack)
- Fleece blanket available upon request
- Heat! (the main hut and bunkhouses each have radiant heat)
- Lighting (throughout the hut and bunkrooms powered by a combination
of solar and hydro power)
- Potable water
- Showers (with foaming soap and shampoo dispenser)
- Composting toilets (and toilet paper)
Dinner
- only option
- Parties of up to 12 people can make reservations for dinner within
one week of the requested date and greater than 48 hours from the
meal.
- Requests from groups larger than 12 people will be reviewed on
a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability.
Shuttle
- We have found a local Carrabassett Valley resident who runs a
Taxi Service that can hold up to 7 passengers plus skis/snowshoes/gear.
His name is Greg Roy and he can be reached at 207-329-3482 or 207-235-2047.
Please call at least one hour ahead of time (we recommend calling
him at least a week or more in advance). He can provide shuttling
service between the two trailheads to facilitate a hut-to-hut trip.
