Flagstaff
Lake Hut - NOW OPEN!
Named one of "The
Best Winter Adventure Lodges"
by Outside Magazine!
(January, 2009)
This hut is located on the remote sandy shore of Flagstaff Lake. The
east end of the lake is undeveloped and sits in the shadow of Bigelow
Mountain. The State of Maine owns the majority of the shorefront and
backcountry area. Enjoy a short and scenic two-mile stroll along
the Shore Trail to the hut from the Long Falls Dam Rd. trailhead.
At the hut, canoes and kayaks await (members have free access to the
boats, paddles and pfd's). Dedicated in January, 2009, this
hut and the surrounding trails has quickly become recognized as a
fantastic year-round family getaway.
