Fly Fishing From Poplar Hut

Four Peaks Guide Service

Have you ever followed a mountain stream while fishing for native brook trout? Join us for a walk along swirling, clear waters, stopping at deep, shaded pools to cast a fly.  You might trail a nymph along a gleeful little run and catch a keeper too beautiful to keep. They might not be giants, but these brook trout are rare, wild gems.

You’ll meet your guide at the Campbell Field Trailhead, and leave your overnight backpack to be shuttled to Poplar Hut.  Your rod, reel, snacks and water are all you’ll need.  You’ll “wet wade” your way up the stream and eventually join “Larry’s Trail” to hike to Poplar Hut. Then spend the night relaxing in a beautiful, modern eco-lodge filled with all the comfort ammenties of home (indoor lavatories, hot showers, locally sourced meals, regional craft beer and wine available for purchase, a drying room, library, etc.).

The best fishing is usually in June, July, and September. Trips are booked on an individual basis, so there are no specific dates that this guided trip will be run.
