"Outdoor enthusiasts in Maine have access to four off-the-grid eco lodges spaced out along an 80-mile trail network.
Each European-inspired hut features shared bunkroom accommodations, as well as hot showers and drying rooms," USA TODAY 10Best states.
Located in the western mountains of Maine, the Maine Huts & Trails trail system features winding switchbacks, trails along mountain streams, natural bridges and incredible views. Groomed trails are ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who love to hike, mountain bike and in the winter, cross-country ski and snowshoe. Each hut is complete with comfortable bunkhouses, which are available to reserve through Maine Huts & Trails. Guests can stay overnight in a hut then continue on the trail the next day.
